Meet Vanessa Strong

Vanessa Strong, Brentwood softball pitching coach and former Division I pitcher

Vanessa Strong is a softball pitching coach serving Brentwood, Oakley, Antioch, Discovery Bay, and the greater East Bay. A former Division I pitcher at the University of the Pacific, Vanessa helps youth, travel ball, and high school pitchers build mechanics, command, confidence, and game awareness.

A standout pitcher and Freedom High School alum, Vanessa brings years of elite experience after competing at the Division I level for the University of the Pacific. A consistent leader in the circle, she logged over 400 collegiate innings, racked up hundreds of strikeouts, and earned multiple WCC All-Academic honors including multiple Player of the Week honors and team MVP.

While posting dominant performances, including complete games, she also earned a Bachelors and two Masters degrees in Kinesiology and Education.

In high school, she was a four-time First Team All-BVAL selection, two-time league MVP, NCS champion, and Bay Area News Group First Team honoree. She also earned multiple Cal-Hi All State honors while posting a career 1.48 ERA, 694 strikeouts, and two perfect games.
